The Bus route recording was made just under two blocks north of the Downer and Capitol intersection. I used the RED Bus route to make it to the intersection.

My Field Recording and Downer recording were both recorded in the same location on Downer at 8:15pm Wednesday March 7th, and the Sangburg Park recording was recorded on a park bench in Sangburg Park the same night at 7:30. Their corresponding locations are highlighted in the pictures below.
Downer
Sandburg Park
The Field Recording Schwarz Drift is my best edit of the three of them. It has good foreground, midground, and background qualities that allow for people to really hear the space they are in. It was recorded on the ground of a bus stop shelter at 8:15pm. Due to my good windscreen and location that night It remains a relatively high fidelity recording. It was windy that night. Sounds that can be heard are the footsteps of the girl in front of me waiting for the bus to come, a man across the street opening and closing the lid of his garbage can, cars driving by, someone honking their horn at the stop light, and two girls walking by having a conversation.

Below are my good recordings from my drift. This is rough draft stuff, but I removed clipping and unwanted sounds, so it should sound pretty decent. My drift strategy was to figure 8 in a swastika formation. each line is a figure 8 within a single block. Sandburg block being the center of the symbol.

Found Sound
Of the
sounds given to us to use, I worked with eight of them.
The rain played in the background very quietly and softly in
a hi-fi environment. I faded it out in the end to make it seem as though the
rain was clearing once you reached the church.
I used the waves in the beginning to
make is seem as though you were by the beach to start. They were not terribly
hi-fi but still fit under the category of hi-fi because you could clearly hear
them above all other ambient noise. They
in turn created the lower fidelity environment for the other sounds in the right
channel because I panned that track to that side. It gives the illusion that
you’re walking along the beach to the left.
There were a few breaths recorded
closely and in a hi-fi environment that I used to make it seem like the
listener is the person hearing these things. It was very first-person-like.
I used a recording of someone behind their dog
in a skateboard. I used panning from left to right to make it seem as though
they were moving across the listener while passing them. It was unfortunately
recorded originally in a lo-fi environment.
I used the birds chirping sounds in
between the axe strikes to make it seem as though this person was outside on a
peaceful day. It is very clear what each
sound is in the track making it a hi-fi environment once again.
One of the few lo-fi tracks I had
was the heavy base music playing in the distance. It was muffled enough to give
the aural illusion of being outside of a beach party from a ways away.
I did use the axe sound after the
end of the party music to give the listener the idea of going from the beach to
a more residential area. It was recorded in hi-fi.
I played the organ music in the end to move the person from
one place to another. It was recorded in a low-fi environment making it sound
as though it were coming from inside a church.
